About Us!

WorldWideWhale.com is a privately owned site dedicated to gathering and sharing information about cetaceans. The site was founded over five years ago by Patricia Scott, an avid fan of nature and ocean life. She was determined to help others learn more about the sea dwelling creatures, in hopes that their understanding will bring protection. The site started with just a few pages, mostly focused on killer whales, but has continued to grow as a result of reader submissions and the reasearch of friends dedicated to the same cause.

On July 14, 2003, we lost Patricia Scott to lung cancer. Her dedication to nature and ocean life has inspired us to continue her efforts and keep the site alive in her memory. Patty also owned an operated a successful business named BlackFish Web Design, which we also maintain in memory.
